Webley & Scott Model 1907 (early pattern with sight)

History:

While the standard 6.35 mm Hammer Model was normally devoid of sights, those being considered unnecessary on such a short-range weapon, some examples were assembled to special order with both front and rear sights present.
At least one hundred pistols, within the serial range No. 54200 No. 54299, were equipped in such a manner. The foresight was a small dowel, whose sides were tapered to form a sharp point of the top, while the rearsight was a tapered bar dovetailed into the breech. lt had a central V-notch and rounded edges to match the upper breech contour.
Also note the different shape of the sear and safety lever of the earlier pattern.
As not so many of this variation were produced, this type is kind of rare today.
