August SCHÜLER in Suhl / Germany

The company August Schüler in Suhl was a small gunsmith and took part in the development of selfcocking-pistols already before the turn of the century. Thus already on January 3rd 1890 a "selfacting firearm with cylinder-action and magazin-chest"was patented under "Deutsches Reichspatent Nr.57117" of 1891-06-23. The patent was valid for handguns as well as for longguns, but no piece has ever been produced.
In 1905 the company signed for a new patent about a "multibarrel-repeating-pistol" (patent got valid in 1906), which was produced and sold later on as "Reform"-pistol.
After the end of production of this pistol between 1910 and 1920 the company disappeared from the market too.
