Robar Melior new model (model 1920/27)


History:

Around 1927 the 2nd variation of the modell 1920 came up.
As the visible design just showed up minor changes and the patented dismanteling-slide was still existing, the internal construction was redesigned completely in order to simplify the production. In additional a loaded-indicator pin was added at ther rear side of the slide The grip safty lever pin was moved from the bottom to the top of the frame as well.
This changes started with serial-no. around 50.000 (in .32) or 100.000 (in .25).
At the .25 cal. models the grip-safety was eliminated completely since around serial-no. 110.000.
A detailed seperation between variations and production numbers is difficult, but follwing some reports a total amount of 87.179 pcs. of the Model 1920 was produced, where the main production period ended in 1939 with some pieces still produced after World War II up to 1948.
