Erika, short Model

History:

During the time of production later on there were smaller models with a smaller grip and a shorter barrel produced too.
Even if these smaller models were shown as standard in advertizings, nowadays they are found not as often as the longer models.
At the muzzle of the short models a thread was cut into the barrel, where sometimes it was assumed to fit to a srewable flare barrel. In fact the use was to screw in a blank barrel in order to enlarge the complete length of the pistol. As at that time pistols below a minium length were covered by gun control laws and required a special licence, it was allowed to sell it that way, and the buyer could remove the barrel later on by simply unscrewing it.
They were advertized as "Ideal Pocket Pistol for Hunters, Tourists, Sportsmen etc".
The price at that time was 24 Schilling, one cartridge costed 8 Groschen.
